Creating and execution of technical projects and maintaining operational system performance with a large project s & systems . Responsible for design, development, testing and scheduled system releases. Responsible for monitoring scope and timeliness for these projects with emphasis on project delivery. Manages technical staff for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams which is focused on the delivery of an internal project into a finished state. Creates status reports for senior management. Coordination of projects with client representatives and user community.
Participate in Change Review Board and provide supporting documentation/reporting to secure payment for services and other deliverables provided to client. Responsible for licensing, software/equipment purchases, and vendor relationships. Leads efforts in recommendation and deployment of hardware/software patches and upgrades.
Conducting/compiling/making special analyses, reports and presentations of budgets, performance, forecasts, etc., as required.
Introduction/implementation of administrative and system control procedures, which improve the effective operation of the unit.
Participates in the introduction and implementation of overall ACS project management standards, practices, and procedures. Provides guidance to technical support staff. Establishes internal controls and monitors activities of technical staff to ensure operating quality. Assists with coordination for project start up and implementation.
Plans goals and objectives for staff and organizes personnel accordingly, including the scheduling/assignment of staff. Provides guidance to staff to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of same.
Acts as point of contact for other departments to resolve problems regarding project support . May contribute to specific proposal efforts and management level presentations.
Keeps apprised of technical developments in field of expertise to ensure currency and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency/effectiveness. Participates and correspondence with core technology departments and work group sessions.
SKILL SETS REQUESTED
3+ years managing and developing large systems and complex environments 3+ years experience with web and application development (C#, C++, .NET) Knowledge of MS SQL Server and database concepts Knowledge of Windows server environment and network environments Experience with program interfaces and job control applications Scanning and imaging experience is a plus. Actively engaged in local technology workgroups or user groups Knowledge of project management and project life cycle. Excellent oral/written communication skills Understanding of functional design requirements, data design and data definition documentation Ability to handle,adapt, and to change quickly for multiple projects
